Would you like to tell everyone a little bit about yourself?
I’m Kim Harrington, the author of CLARITY. Like my main character, I’m a sarcastic chick from Massachusetts. Unlike my main character, I’m not psychic.

Was there a message in the book you wanted everyone to grasp?
Mostly I just want to entertain people. But there is a theme to the book. It’s not really unveiled until the ending. The last page, really. But I can’t say what it is because it would be spoilerish.

How about the latest news on you?
Up next is the sequel to CLARITY. It’s called PERCEPTION and will be out in March 2012. After that I have a standalone YA supernatural mystery coming in the fall of 2012.

When you’re not writing what do you do to unwind?
Read, of course! But I also have my favorite TV shows and love spending time with my family.

What is your favorite Quote?
I’ve always adored this one, from Scottish poet Alexander Smith: “Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition.”

What are you most excited about this year?
I’m excited for all my fellow debuts over at the Elevensies! It’s going to be a great year, full of wonderful books.

What book do you wish to see come out as a movie?
Definitely The Hunger Games! And I’m getting my wish March 23, 2012. So excited!

What is the worst job you have ever had?
Oh, wow. There were so many. Cashier jobs in high school were pretty boring. I worked one summer at a Farmer’s Market and smelled like vegetables every day. And in college I was a tutor in the statistics lab and that could be frustrating at times because I’m not a patient person. I learned a new respect for teachers with that job!
