Title: The Curse of a Kingdom

Author: Abbey Fox
Publication date: March 22, 2022
Series: The Wicked Kingdom (#2)

Summary: HER SOULMATE IS IN DANGER.

When Arkimedes is kidnapped by The Dark Ones, Nava is forced to make a bargain with the devil. Sneaking into prison, she releases her archenemy Devon Black. Nava prays the life debt she places on Devon is enough to ensure his help.

Nothing is more shocking than when Nava finds her beloved again. Arkimedes has returned to his birthplace and has no memory of Nava and their lives together—or the past eleven years of his life.

Under the cover of a fake engagement, Nava must hide her soulmate bond, navigate the Copper Kingdom’s deadly court, and field off demon attacks in the nearby forest. Her plan is to trigger her soulmate’s memories and convince him to flee. But this new version of Arkimedes is cold, ruthless, and determined to solve the mystery of why he was abandoned as a child.

Yet the soulmate bond won’t be denied. Nava and Ark are drawn to each other, and her delicate web of secrets is threatening to unravel…

Review: I am so obsessed with their world. I love Nava and Arks bond. I will definitely be reading the first two books when the third book comes out in the future. Abbey Fox absolutely doesn't disappoint. So many unexpected twists and turns. Always learning something else and thinking you have it all figured out just to find out you were wrong. I'm hooked for life. Living for Nava's personal growth.

Review: Broken Dove by Chelle Bliss

Title: Broken Dove

Author: Chelle  Bliss
Pub date: 2/15/2022
Stars: 4

Summary: A simple arrangement. A complicated future.

Lia Dove has always been a free spirit, living life to the fullest and never putting down roots. But after finding her birth father, along with a group of lovable, rowdy bikers, she can’t imagine being anywhere else. Throw in a hot biker roommate who offers her no-strings-attached deal as the cherry on top and leaving becomes an afterthought.

Leo Hawk has never felt part of anything until he becomes a prospect in a local motorcycle club. But catching feelings for his roommate, who’s also the club president’s daughter, could spell disaster before he earns his patch.

But when the past comes back to haunt him thanks to his missing older brother, Leo will have to lean on his biker brothers for help, risking a future with the club and the woman he’s grown to love.

Broken Dove is an interconnected standalone friends-to-lovers, motorcycle club romance, but can be read and enjoyed alone.

Review: I have been waiting for Lia's story since reading Broken Sparrow. I like that it jumped a year in the story so Lia and Leo aren't total strangers. I absolutely adored this story as much as I did Broken Sparrow. I don't know if there is going to be a third story but if there is I'm here for it.

Review: Beautifully Cruel by JT Geissinger

Title: Beautifully Cruel

Author: JT Geissinger

Series: Beautifully Cruel #1

Pub date: May 15, 2020

Pages: 310

Stars: 3.5

Summary: Alpha (noun):

1) Having the highest rank in a dominance hierarchy

2) The most powerful man in a group

3) Liam Black

He was a stranger to me, a dark and dangerous presence who materialized from the shadows one rainy night to save me from a vicious attack. I didn’t know his name or where he was from. All I knew was that the only place I’d ever felt safe was in his arms.

But safety is an illusion.

And not every savior is a hero.

And—as I’d soon find out—having an alpha save your life comes with a price.

Liam Black wanted something from me in return.

Review: I absolutely loved Liam. I did hit a bit of a snag at 40% when I had a hard time getting past one of Truvy's part. I really liked her at first she was so strong and determined. Then it got to where I am stuck and she is aloof and indecisive. I hope this part ends soon as I really love JT's writing. I got about 24% further into the book and unfortunately it didn't really pick back up for me. My biggest difficulty was Tru. I loved Declan and Liam but Tru just never went back to how she was in the start of the book. I did really enjoy the end of the book as well. You learn a lot in that last 20%. I wish it hadn't been smushed together. I can't wait to get started on Killian's story.

Review: Broken Sparrow by Chelle Bliss

Title: Broken Sparrow

Author: Chelle Bliss

Pages: 300

Publication date: 10/5/21

Stars: 4.5

Summary: A chance encounter. An unlikely hero.

Morris has always dedicated himself to his brothers in the MC, choosing the freedom of the open road over the monotony of family life. But a chance encounter with a single mother on the run causes his protective alpha instincts to kick into overdrive.

Alice Sparrow thought she had planned her escape perfectly, but everything that could go wrong, did. Bank account emptied. Broken-down car. No place to stay. But when she bumps into a handsome biker, she doesn’t have the luxury of walking away from his help, especially when she must keep her daughter safe.

What is supposed to be a simple act of kindness quickly turns into something bigger and more complicated than either expects…especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

Broken Sparrow is a steamy age-gap, single mother, hot biker standalone romance that's guaranteed to bring the steam and the feels.

Review: I loved Morris and Lia and honestly like 98% of the characters. I wasn't such a fan of Alice though. She wasn't as bad as some h's tend to be in her situation  but there was just something that rubbed me the wrong way in the beginning half of the book. I definitely feel like this book was way too short. But I can't wait to read more by Chelle, she's a new to me author. So back to Morris, he is my favorite kind of MC character. Looks like a total hardass on the outside but on the inside he is as sweet and understanding as can be. He puts his all in for those he cares about. This is a book I totally wouldn't mind if it was a series.

Review: Jingle Bell Wolf by Terry Spear

Title: Jingle Bell Wolf
Author: Terry Spear
Publication date: October 26th, 2021
Series: Wolff Brothers #2

Summary: USA Today bestselling author Terry Spear brings you the wolf shifters you've been wishing of for Christmas in this action-packed paranormal holiday romance!

It's almost Christmas, and Florida gray wolf shifter and veterinarian Gabrielle Lowe has been talked into going with her friends to a ski resort in Silver Town, Colorado. But when her two jaguar girlfriends are held up on a mission, it not only leaves Gabrielle alone for the holidays, but also out of her element at the snowy resort. Determined to make the best of it, Gabrielle takes a dip in the lodge's heated pool--after it's closed, of course...

Gray wolf shifter Landon Wolff is part owner of the ski lodge and he's got enough on his plate getting ready for the annual influx of Christmas visitors. The last thing he needs is a rebel, indulging in a midnight swim long after the pool is closed. Just as he's about to throw the rule breaker out of the pool he realizes that Gabby is also a wolf. Suddenly, all the rules change... Maybe Landon will finally find the wolf he's always wanted to share the holidays with.

Review: I really enjoyed this book from the beginning. I'm not sure if it's because of how simple it was laid out or it's all around cuteness. I've been in a bit of a book slump but this book was just very easy to read. My only complaint is that things got over explained and repeated a bit too much for my liking. I understood it the first, second and third time it was stated. I didn't read the first book but you don't really need to, to understand this book.

Review: Holiday Ever After by Jill Shalvis

Title: Holiday Ever After
Author: Jill Shalvis
Publication date: October 26th, 2021

Summary: Three fan-favorite Jill Shalvis novellas are together for the first time in this holiday anthology!

One Snowy Night
It’s Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to her family. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, her long-time crush, and his big, goofy, lovable dog. A long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past…and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last.
Holiday Wishes
When Sean O’Riley shows up for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, the last person he expects to see is Lotti Hartford, the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago. As the weekend continues, Sean realizes he wants to leave his hook-up life behind, but can he convince Lotti to open her heart to him again?
Mistletoe in Paradise
Years after their secret fling ended, Hannah isn’t eager to see James during their families’ annual joint holiday-themed yacht adventure. But when they’re the only people who show up, James and Hannah are stuck together on the high seas for days. As the former lovers try to make the best of the Christmas snafu, they soon realize the best things in life can’t be planned, and sometimes love is sweeter the second time around.

Review: I didn't read the excerpt, I just picked the book so I didn't realize it was three in one. Upside I happened to love this author so much I was willing to blind pick any book they write.

At first I definitely had a hard time starting this book but I stuck with it and it quickly hooked my heart. It ended up being such a sweet, quick story. Makes me want to know more about them. I love how it doesn't matter if the story starts as an enemies to lovers, second chance they all end absolutely beautiful. Very minimal sex scenes, which means it just focuses on their short story. The second story is a bit less Christmas but just as sweet as the first one. It was a cute and quick read but I'm going to have to give it 4 stars. One Snowy Night absolutely tore my heart to shreds.
